We only collect what we need to run Jubilee. Here's what that looks like:

We do not collect sensitive financial information like Social Security numbers or tax identification numbers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to deliver Jubilee. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Specifically, we use your data to:

Automatically categorize transactions against your budget
Calculate your tithe percentage and track giving progress
Generate your personalized debt freedom plan
Send you weekly stewardship reports with scripture
Send account-related emails (password resets, subscription notices)
Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized account access

3. Data Storage & Security

Your financial data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256 encryption. Our database runs on Neon PostgreSQL with built-in encryption. Bank connections are managed through Plaid's security infrastructure.

Data is stored on servers in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including access controls, monitoring, and regular security audits.

No system is completely immune to breach, but we are committed to protecting your data and will notify you if we become aware of any breach affecting your personal information.

4. Third-Party Services

Jubilee uses the following third-party services to deliver the product:

Stripe: Payment processing. We do not store your card information directly. Stripe's privacy policy applies to your payment data.
Plaid: Bank account linking. Plaid reads your transaction history to keep your budget up to date. Plaid's privacy policy applies to your bank data.
Meta Pixel: Advertising analytics. Used to understand Jubilee conversion funnels. You can opt out by visiting your Meta ad preferences.

5. Cookies & Tracking

Jubilee uses minimal cookies to deliver the service:

Authentication cookies: Keep you logged in during your session
Preference cookies: Remember your display settings
Analytics cookies: Meta Pixel tracks page visits for conversion measurement only

We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or tracking you across unrelated websites.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we retain your data for 30 days for recovery purposes, then permanently delete it from our systems.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data at any time
Export your data in a portable format
Request correction of inaccurate data

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you via email to the address on file.
